The National Association for Gifted Children’s new public awareness campaign– Giftedness Knows No Boundaries– builds understanding, forms positive attitudes, and inspires action in support of gifted and talented children. ITAG’s 2017 conference adopts the themes of this campaign: Embracing Giftedness: See Me, Understand Me, Teach Me, Challenge Me.

Hotel accommodations- Contact the Holiday Inn directly for reservations and cancellations

ITAG has a block of rooms reserved at the Airport Holiday Inn, 6111 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, IA, 50321, 515-287-2400 for a conference rate of $95 + taxes per night.  The deadline for reserving rooms at the conference rate is October 1, 2017.

Attendees are responsible for their own hotel accommodations.  A new global Holiday Inn policy states that the reservation cancellation policy will require all cancellations to be made “day prior to arrival” for all IHG brand hotels. Guests will have up until 4 pm or 6 pm (local time) one day prior to arrival to cancel their reservation without penalty. This new policy will only apply to new reservations made after mid-August.

Conference cancellation/refund policy

Full refunds of registration expenses will be given up to October 6, 2017. Beginning October 7, 2017, refunds for half of the registration amount will be considered.

Vendors and exhibitors

Exhibitors are responsible for setting up, attending the booth, and removing all materials. Insurance is the responsibility of the exhibitor.

Booth set up: Sunday, October 15, 2017, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Booth hours:

  • Monday, October 16, 2017, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Tuesday, October 17, 2017, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • All exhibit materials must be removed by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17

Booth location: The exhibit area is adjacent to the pool.

Booth details: Each booth is an 8-foot x 10-foot space with one skirted 8-foot table, two chairs, one wastebasket, and one standard sign.  Electricity and Internet access are provided to each booth at no additional cost. Booth registration includes one representative per booth. Up to one additional representative can register separately by purchasing an Additional Representative Ticket and entering their name so it will be in the system for nametags and meals. Booth representatives are provided with breakfast, lunch, and dessert breaks on Monday and Tuesday. Monday dinner is on your own
